Height and Weight: 5-10, 206 lbs.
*
Strengths: Acceleration, Burst through the hole, Stop and start ability, Athleticism, Great change of direction, Good balance
*
Weakness: occasionally dangles the ball out loosely away from his body, sometimes dances around in the backfield
*
Summary: Ryan Williams has great athleticism. For his size he has excellent ability to make cuts and switch directions. He gets up to speed very quick. Has great burst when he hits the hole. Has decent ability to bounce off tacklers. Williams has only played one year so far as he's a redshirt sophomore heading into this season. If I'm an NFL scout though I kind of like that, not as many miles on him. Although he occasionally bounces around too much in the backfield you don't want to deter him from using that cutting ability. He needs to work on keeping the ball in tight to his body vs. letting hand out away when he gets outside.
